Our Meat

Thanks for showing interest in knowing more about our meat.

To ensure we can supply you all with consistent product weekly (this is hard to do with grassfed and finished meat, because of inconsistent weather patterns and external factors out of our control), we source from a variety of different Australian farms.

Our beef

All of our beef is sourced from high-quality, rich pastures in South Coast NSW, Southern Victoria and Tasmania. They are all ethically raised, roam freely and are pure pasture-raised and fed. All of our meat is hormone and antibiotic-free. All of our products are 100% traceable from pasture to plate.

Our Lamb

All of our lamb is pasture-raised and fed from Cowra, NSW and surrounding Riverina regions. These areas have some of the finest valleys to produce the best quality lamb Australia has to offer.

Our Pork

Canberra Pork

All of our pork is sow stall free, born and raised free range on a single-family operated Pork Industry Quality Assurance Program Certified (APIQ) Free-Range farm – you can be sure you’re getting the highest quality free range pork on your fork.

Illawarra Pork

Tender, juicy and flavoursome Australian Murray Valley pork. Farmed in Australia’s best farming conditions.

Our Chicken

We offer both free range and non-free range chicken products to ensure that we can meat your personal preference.

Non-Free Range

All of our chicken is fed a well-balanced diet containing natural grains, protein meals, vitamins and minerals. The only hormones contained in our chickens are those produced naturally by the chicken itself. All chickens are grown in large poultry houses using the deep litter system (no cages are used). All chickens have constant access to feed and water. The chicken goes through a natural chilling process without the addition of chemicals using a low scald/air chill method to ensure it maintains full flavour and texture. There is also no excess water, so you get what you pay for. 

Free Range

Accredited by Free Range Egg & Poultry Australia (FREPA), our free range chicken is processed without the addition of chemicals using a low scald/air chill method.

Our Goal
Our goal is to prioritise your health and provide everyone with affordable options. We always aim to support as local as we can to ensure our footprint is minimal.

To support local areas, Meating you Canberra offer the above products as weekly deliveries. Alongside this, every couple of months, we do a local whole beef beast from a family farm in Gunning just out of Canberra. We curate mixed 4-6kg boxes that have a variety of cuts, that utilise the whole beast nose to tail. If this interests you please email your enquiry to info@meatingyou.com to go on the waitlist

I'm sure you all know the saying “you can't always have your cake and eat it too" - this is how we feel about our current business position - “I want my cow and I want to eat it too". There is still work to be done and our future goal for Meating You is to one day have a large enough following to be in a position to source and grow 100% of its supply from regenerative farms within the local region and offer it to you at an affordable price.
